Martello Tower

Piercy Conner Architect

Piercy Conner Architects converted the 19th century military building into a weekend retreat. The design features an ellipse shape, which sits perfectly parallel to the masonry tower, separated by a glazed section to achieve the illusion of floatation.

To practical bring the concept from paper to reality within budget CSI developed a prefabrication strategy for the complete roof and glazing. The realisation involved the use of 3d Cad works combined with prototyping and factory based trial assemblies.
